Pregnancy brings many changes and many questions. Having a care team you know can make a difference.
Our obstetrics care team includes family physicians and certified nurse-midwives. They work with nurses, a clinical social worker, lactation staff, and other care partners to support patients during pregnancy, birth, and the months that follow.
Care before, during, and after birth
Patients receive pregnancy and newborn care at CHC’s Riverside location. Services include:
- Prenatal and postpartum visits
- Dating ultrasounds and onsite lab work
- Support during labor and delivery at the University of Vermont Medical Center
- Newborn care in and outside the hospital
- Lactation support
- Gynecology services
- Help with social, emotional, and practical needs
CHC clinicians provide hospital coverage for pregnancy and newborn care at all hours. The team also works with the University of Vermont Medical Center’s high-risk obstetric service when a patient needs specialized care or a Cesarean birth.
One place for family care
CHC practices family medicine. This means we can care for a parent before and after pregnancy, care for a newborn, and continue caring for the family as the child grows. Having care in one place can help your providers understand your family’s needs over time.
