Dental Care

The Community Health Center’s Dental Center is the only Federally Qualified Health Center dental program serving Chittenden County. With five staff dentists, three dental residents, and a large support staff, we care for all ages and enjoy providing your child’s first “happy visit’ to the dentist.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, all dental services are available on a sliding fee scale to income eligible, uninsured residents. We welcome Medicaid and private employer based insurance for adults and children. For low income, uninsured community residents with dental emergencies, we accept state general assistance vouchers.

Dental has moved...to a new temporary home!

As of August 5th, CHCB’s main site dental clinic has moved to a new temporary home at 789 Pine Street in order to better serve patients during the construction of our new building.

CHCB's dental clinics are conveniently located at a new temporary location at 789 Pine Street, the Safe Harbor Clinic on South Winooski Avenue, and our school based dental clinic located at the Integrated Arts Academy at HO Wheeler School. The Integrated Arts Academy at HO Wheeler school site only provides care for Medicaid enrolled and uninsured low-income Burlington elementary and middle school aged Burlington children. Burlington high school students can be seen at our two other locations.

Currently, the Dental Center is accepting new patients who live or work in Chittenden County. All new patients are encouraged to call for registration materials before their first appointment. If applying for the sliding fee scale, please be prepared to provide two recent forms of income verification, such as pay stubs or tax forms.

“I can’t tell you what is like to live without teeth. I hadn’t had a hot meal in years and I could only eat soft foods in tiny little bites. Now, I can talk better with teeth and I like the way I look. When my bus driver saw me, he said ‘What happened to you? You look ten years younger!’ I am so thankful for what the Health Center did. I actually liked going to the dentist.” - Bruce, age 54
