As an integral part of the health care management at CHCB, the Behavioral Health staff is here to help patients of all ages with mental health conditions and addictive illness. We employ Licensed Clinical Social Workers who are also licensed as Alcohol and Drug Counselors to provide therapy and consultation. If you are interested in counseling at CHCB, let your medical provider know at your next visit.
If you or a loved one is experiencing a crisis and cannot reach your CHCB provider, please refer to this list of local support lines.
Behavioral Health Consultants
The Behavioral Health staff is available to the medical providers and patients for consultation during the medical visit. A Clinical Social Worker can help assess your mental health condition or addictive illness. We can also provide education and self-management skills training to manage a mental health condition or to alleviate stress.
Medical Case Management
Social Work Case Managers are also available to help with a variety of social services, such as housing assistance, applying for benefits, or help with care coordination.
Our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
CHCB has a MAT team to support our patients who are participating in buprenorphine treatment, specifically Suboxone Treatment. A Nurse and Behavioral Health Clinical Care Coordinator will help you with case management needs and provide support to you in your recovery.
CHCB works with the Opiate Care Alliance of Chittenden County which helps with coordination of care between multiple organizations and requires a Consent to Disclose Health Information.
