In 2004, the Community Health Centers of Burlington became the home site of Vermont’s only dental residency program. As Chittenden County’s sole Federally Qualified Health Center, we offer an outstanding learning opportunity in one of the Northeast’s most beautiful small city settings.
As part of the University of Vermont , this 40 year old dental residency program attracts top flight graduating dental students from all parts of the country. As a resident, your experiences range from working in a diverse community clinic setting supported by the latest technology, working with established Vermont general dentists and specialists to assisting with complex oral surgery cases, and taking emergency calls at Fletcher Allen Hospital, Vermont’s academic medical center and Level One Trauma Center. Area dentists and specialists volunteer their time to teach residents, demonstrating the quality of the Burlington community that has convinced many residents to stay in Vermont to practice.
